Why “Vega”

Like many writers, I consider myself to be a whole lot of people trapped in one (big) body. When I was a teenager, the book Contact was made into a movie. Now, if you haven’t seen it, stop what you’re doing and go watch. But, (spoiler alert) the kind of central hub for space travel is the Vega System and that resonated with my teenage brain. As a writer, it feels like my job is to be the central hub for character travel. So, I adopted the screen name “vega” and it’s stuck.
